How to determine shipping charges...

When ordering multiple items, start with the most expensive shipping charge, then add $1.00 for each additional item. So two capos would cost $4.00 for shipping. A capo and a Sleight of Hand book would cost $5.00.

Third Hand Capo - The only universal partial capo. It will clamp any combination of strings on any guitar, including acoustic, electric, classical and 12-string. Comes with a detailed instruction sheet. There are 63 ways to clamp it at each fret, and you can use more than one at a time, or combine it with altered tunings. You'll never finish exploring the world of the partial capo, and this is the only tool that can do it all. (back)

Shubb Partial Capo - A modified version of the well-known Shubb capo. Clamps an Esus chord or an A chord depending on which side it is applied from. Works well on alkmost every guitar. It's the best way to achieve either of these configurations. This is a product we lobbied Shubb to produce, after years of sawing and filing standard Shubb capos to do the same thing. We supply it with our own detailed instruction sheet. (back)

Sleight of Hand - A collection of traditional, original, and classical tunes written and/or arranged by Harvey Reid for partially capoed guitar. Excellent illustrations of the advantages of the partial capo configurations used. For intermediate to advanced players. Primarily fingerstyle stuff, but does include two arrangements for flatpick guitar. Not just examples, these pieces make good additions to your repertoire. Titles include "The Minuet in D" and "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" (Bach), "Für Elise" (Beethoven), "Suite: For the Duchess"and "E Modal Boogie" (Reid), "Pavanne" (Thoinet), "Scherzo" (Damas-Tarrega), "Shenandoah", "Devil's Dream", "Sally Goodin", "Scarborough Fair", "Greensleeves", "Flowers of Edinburgh", "The Red Haired Boy", "The Irish Washerwoman", "Simple Gifts", and "Farewell to Tarwaithe" (Trad.). Capo Inventions (NEW in Dec 2006!) - A collection of traditional original instrumentals written and/or arranged by Harvey Reid for the partial capoed guitar. Duck Soup Guitar - The best-sounding easy guitar arrangements ever! Dramatically easier and more musical than any other beginning guitar method or your money baclk. Uses several partial capo configurations that allow the playing of fully-voiced I-IV and V chordsin several keys with one and two-finger chord fingerings, instead of the usual 3-finger chords or barre chords. A great way to introduce children to the guitar. Anyone can start having fun and sounding good right away, and learn valuable strumming skills without struggling with the chord changes. The simplified chord shapes you learn can easily be expanded to play regular guitar chords, and you don't have to "unlearn" anything if you start this way. Has been used for 20 years by most oif the nation's professional music therapists. (back)

Duck Soup Fingerpicking - Absolutely the easiest way to get started playing melody style fingerpicking. The trick to fingerpicking is holding a chord and some bass notes while you play and move the melody in the treble, and with a Third Hand Capo this task is much easier. This makes it possible to play full-sounding fingerstyle arrangements with bass notes and melody that are within the reach of even beginning guitarists. Allows you to concentrate on right hand technique. (Currently under revision. Available again soon.)

Modern Folk Guitar - Co-authored by Harvey Reid and Dr. Terry Kuhn of Kent State University, this book was designed as a college textbook for a two semester course in folk guitar. An excellent work covering all the basics, it has never been available in music stores, as the publisher has kept it within their textbook division, and only available at selected college bookstores for 20 years. Valuable both as an instructional tool and a reference work, it's a fine addition to the collection of anyone who teaches guitar. Are you an electric player who wants to learn folk styles? Here they are. Want to be a troubadour? This book teaches the skills you need to get started (back)
